After graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Textile Design, I thought becoming a fashion designer would happen naturally. Instead, I found myself juggling internships, sales jobs, and side work while struggling to find a place in the industry.
After a year of chasing opportunities and barely making ends meet, I put my dream aside and followed a different path. I studied law, built a successful career as a family lawyer, and spent the next decade creating the stable life I thought I was supposed to want.
Everything changed when I discovered macramé. During maternity leave, I made the decision to return to creativity — this time with intention, courage, and a completely different approach. I left my legal career, became a mother, and built a life that finally feels like mine.
Today, I create wearable macramé fashion, teach students around the world, and help others build lives that feel more creative, purposeful, and authentically their own.

I'm Violetta
I always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins in London with a degree in Textile Design, I struggled to find stable work and eventually followed my father's advice to pursue a more secure career — I became a lawyer.
On the outside, I looked successful. But inside, I felt disconnected from my creativity and from myself.
Then, in 2019, I discovered macramé — and everything changed.
What began as a hobby soon became a passion. Knot by knot, I reconnected with my creativity, confidence, and sense of purpose.
Eventually, I left my legal career, became a mother of two beautiful boys, and founded VIITTA House — first as a macramé fashion brand, and later as a school of mindful creative practice, where I teach others to create with intention, confidence, and meaning.
Today, I've taught hundreds of students around the world, authored Macramé Fashion: A Creative Journey into Wearable Art, and co-host transformational retreats in London, the Maldives, and Montenegro with Love Life Retreats.
For me, macramé isn't just about knots.
It's about remembering that creativity is not something you find — it's something you choose.
And it's about remembering that you are the creator of your own life.
