MEET YOUR TEACHER
I’m Violetta — founder and director of VIITTA House, macramé fashion designer and teacher, and author of Macramé Fashion: A Creative Journey into Wearable Art.
What I love most about teaching is witnessing transformation. In just one day, women often go from believing something looks impossible to creating beautiful pieces with their own hands — through the right guidance, support, and process.
From my very first class, students described the experience as meditative. The repetitive rhythm of knotting creates a calming space to slow down, reconnect with creativity, and fully immerse yourself in making something beautiful by hand.
Over time, my journey evolved from simply designing garments into creating meaningful creative experiences that inspire confidence, connection, and self-expression.
Through macramé, we remember that creativity is not only about what we make — but how we create our lives, knot by knot, step by step.

Each VIITTA HOUSE masterclass is arranged personally and tailored to the participants attending.
To begin the booking process, simply get in touch by email sharing:

Once your booking is confirmed, dates, materials, colours and garment details will be discussed personally in advance.
All cords, accessories and materials are prepared and measured before the class so everything is ready for you to begin creating on the day.

Booking & Cancellation Policy
Due to the intimate nature of the masterclasses and the preparation involved for each participant, all bookings are non-refundable.
If you’re unable to attend your scheduled date, your booking may be transferred to another available masterclass date with advance notice.
As classes are limited to just 3 participants, rescheduling is subject to availability. If no suitable group is available, participants may arrange their own group of 3 for an alternative date.
We kindly ask all participants to book thoughtfully and respect the time, preparation and personalised nature of the experience.
Can I come with a friend?
Can I recreate and sell the designs taught inside the book?
Do I need previous macramé experience?
Are there any follow-up courses or learning resources?
